Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
These are the standard terms on which Priory Landscaping & Driveways ("we", "us") carries out driveway, patio and landscaping work. They apply alongside the specific written quote issued for your project. If anything on the quote conflicts with these terms, the quote takes precedence for that job.
1. Quotes
All quotes are issued in writing after a free site visit. The price on the quote is fixed for the scope of work described, unless we agree a variation in writing (for example, if unexpected ground conditions come to light once excavation begins). Verbal quotes are indicative only.
2. Acceptance
Acceptance by phone, email or text is sufficient to reserve a start date. We ask that you confirm materials and colour choices in writing (email or text) before we order.
3. Payment
We typically do not require a deposit. Payment is taken in stages, scaled to the size of the job, by bank transfer. The final balance is due within 7 days of practical completion. Late payment may attract statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.
4. Variations & extras
Any changes to scope, size, materials or specification once work has started will be agreed in writing (or by text) and reflected in a revised written price before those changes are carried out.
5. Workmanship guarantee
We provide a workmanship guarantee of up to 10 years on our installation, subject to the terms noted in your quote. Some manufactured materials carry a separate product guarantee (typically 5 years) from the manufacturer. The workmanship guarantee does not cover damage caused by third-party works, misuse, accidents, subsidence outside the work area, extreme weather, or normal wear and tear.
6. Insurance
We hold £2,000,000 Public Liability and £2,000,000 Employers' Liability insurance. Copies of certificates can be supplied on request before work starts.
7. Access & site conditions
You agree to give us safe access to the site during agreed working hours (typically Monday to Saturday, 7am–7pm). You are responsible for informing us of any underground services, private drains, or land features that may affect the work. Where we discover previously unknown conditions during excavation, we will pause, notify you, and agree a written variation before continuing.
8. Weather & delays
We schedule work carefully but reserve the right to delay work in conditions unsafe for installation (persistent heavy rain, frost, high winds). We will keep you informed and reschedule at the earliest reasonable opportunity.
9. Cancellation
Consumers have a 14-day right to cancel a contract entered into off-premises under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start work within this 14-day period and later cancel, you may be liable for the value of work already carried out and materials already supplied.
10. Complaints
Any concern should be raised with James Chapman directly on 07796 937062 or by email to info@priorylandscaping.co.uk. We will respond within 5 working days and aim to resolve issues promptly.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Contact us for a copy of these terms in writing before signing off a quote.
